“ This store is awesome! Although its located in a tough neighborhood, and some from their customer base are unpredictable, the store employees maintain a level of helpfulness and professionalism which makes shopping with them very pleasant. The store is well stocked with such a varied selection of grocery items you would think they needed are larger places. The prices for their store items are not inflated as such is the case with some stores close to that location. Very nice and attentive staff. You wont be disappointed after shopping at Amigos. ”

Also, since I moved to the Tenderloin, this was the first store of its kind not to automatically me with suspicion of intent to steal. Since returning to SF on Dec 23, ALL the other arabic stores within a mile radius glared at me when I entered the store and totally thought I was there to steal. I dont steal, I dont boost. I get how it could be frustrating not being able to tell the difference between those who are and arent likely to steal, but 1. I live in the neighborhood, 2. I dont dress like the people Ive met who confess to boosting, 3. I try to be as cooperative as possible, leaving my bag up front, keeping my hands visible, and when I still feel treated like a street rat, O become suspicious that some unwholesome desires have festered in this community. This store never made me feel that way and always treated me like anyone else. ”

“ Wellknown in the hood for having the best priced torches and butane cans. Cashiers for the most part are respectful and dont mind haggling prices with you. Not only that, they are the ONLY store around that has electric scooter chargers readily available for purchase. However, dont bring kids, as there are always drug users and bums close by. ”
“ This place has the best selection of candy cheapest coldest sodas they sell pan dulce delicious Mexican sweet bread is the only place in town I can think of off the top of my head that sells scooter chargers very handy and has the cheapest prices on just about everything that they carry. Only downside is they dont accept EBT ”
